Youth hostels

Most of the organisations operating in the field of social and community tourism in Brittany are members of the Brittany branch of UNAT, the French federation of tourist and outdoor activities associations, whose purpose is to promote access to holidays for everyone.

Youth Hostels

Dotted around the heart and coasts of Brittany, youth hostels welcome everyone, particularly young people, offering them the opportunity to experience, for example,  the delights of the Isle of Batz or discover the secrets of the buccaneers who once sailed off the Emerald Coast. The youth hostel association was first founded to provide young people with a welcome and accommodation on their travels, and to promote international exchanges between young people, but another core objective is to promulgate the idea of world citizenship and help young people to become more mobile in their leisure activities, education and training.

Children’s Holiday Centres

These centres are places where children learn how to be part of a community, sharing, making friends, and living in harmony with others. The Holiday Centres are open to children aged 4 to 18 during school holidays, and children can either spend their whole holiday there or just stay a night or two as part of a touring holiday. Whether they are into surfing or following in the footsteps of the wizard Merlin, these Holiday Centres make sure children and young people have plenty to do, making new friends, sharing their lives and finding out who they really are.
