"We are committed to low food mileage and working with quality producers," the couple stress. Take for example the 'Breizh Burger', made with wholemeal bread from the local baker, black pudding from Guiscriff, andouille sausage from Géméné, pink onions from Roscoff and organic salad leaves from Le Saint. Delivered direct from Audierne, fish takes pride of place on the menu. The chef loves to cook each fish in different ways depending on his mood and what variety of fish it is - roasted, on the plancha, raw, steamed, etc. Excellent, varied contemporary cuisine to be enjoyed in a relaxed, bistro setting, which pays homage to jazz and the many Breton expatriates living in the US: just like New York, Gourin has its very own American diner.
