La Ferme d'antan is organising its 49th Fête du Bois in the Village d'antan!
On Sunday 6 August, the village of Saint-Esprit-des-Bois in Plédéliac will be immersed in a 1930s atmosphere, with a host of events focusing on village traditions, scenes from life and picturesque characters!
Celtic circles and sea shanties will be followed by a Fest-noz, with food and refreshments available all day and into the evening.
The festival will celebrate the crafts and skills of yesteryear, with woodworkers (turners, sculptors, games makers, basket makers, wheelwrights, wood splitters, clog makers, sweepers, etc.), textiles (lace makers, weavers, dressmakers, headdress makers, spinners, etc.), soap makers, gardeners, blacksmiths, puppeteers, etc.
The bread oven will be firing up, and our "chauffous" will be baking bread just like in the old days!
