Access the treasures of the land from the sea
  • Boat tours
Cale de Dinan Saint-Malo, 35400 Saint-Malo
Starting from Dinard, Saint-Malo or Dinan, join Hervé to discover the history and unsuspected delights of the Emerald Coast and the Rance Valley. A unique outing for a couple, family or group of friends
Fancy exploring Saint-Malo Bay in a different kind of way? Hervé is a sailor by profession, but also a storyteller. Aboard his semi-rigid boat, the Albatross, this enthusiastic sailor from Saint-Malo, who is also a gifted teacher, offers tailor-made trips to explore the treasures of the land from the sea. As you travel with him, you will rediscover the Rance Valley and the Emerald Coast; the 'Corsair City' of Saint-Malo, its stone ships and centuries-old history; or Cézembre, where time stands still. “Seeing Saint-Malo from the sea puts things into the right perspective,” says Hervé, with a twinkle in his eye. As you sail along, he will introduce you to the art of coastal navigation: charts, marker buoys, the compass, currents and tides. You can forget about GPS! You'll rediscover your powers of observation. As for wildlife you may see a pod of dolphins as well as gannets, cormorants and oyster-catcher. When you add to all that the Caribbean colours that emerge at low tide, a bit of fresh air turns into sheer bliss!
