In the heart of Brittany, the Centre Bouddhique Drukpa Plouray is dedicated to the study and practice of Himalayan Buddhism. It's also a place to discover and visit, and a haven of peace where you can recharge your batteries.
Plouray is the heartbeat of Buddhist spirituality in Brittany, based on the oral tradition of the Drupka Lineage. Nestling deep in the woods and surrounded by landscaped parkland, the Centre Bouddhique Drukpa Plouray consists of a stupa, a temple, a prayer wheel and the statue of Bairo Rinpoche, a Tibetan spiritual master who created a strong link with the Centre. You can stroll along the paths in the park from one monument to the next, visit the interior of the stupa and temple where statues of Buddhas and various Buddhist deities stand guard, or sit on a wooden bench to enjoy the atmosphere of this unique place. The site lends itself wonderfully to walks, meditation and tranquillity. Throughout the year, public lectures and cultural workshops are organised, including yoga, storytelling for children and Tibetan language classes. Daily rituals at 7am and 6pm are open to the public.
