A fortress from the Middle Ages and a jewel of the Breton Renaissance, the Château de Josselin offers a real journey through time.
On the banks of the River Oust, in the heart of Morbihan, stands this splendid residence, inhabited since the 14th century by its founders, the de Rohan family. With its three majestic towers overlooking the river and its sumptuous flamboyant Gothic façade, this château has preserved traces of its medieval and Renaissance past. The richly furnished interiors bear witness to the aristocratic lifestyle of the 19th century. Outside, take a stroll through the beautiful 3-hectare wooded park with its formal garden, its rose garden of many varieties, its century-old trees and its English-style park. For children's enjoyment, the former stables are home to the Doll and Toy Museum, with almost 5,000 exhibits.
