Forty years lovingly devoted to botany and painting - and here is the result. Each Spring, the Boutiguery estate bursts into flower, with an explosion of amazing colours. It was created by Christian, the father, who is the artist. His daughter Virginie, the landscape gardener, took it over from him. When you visit this 20 hectare country park, which appears as if by magic as you round a bend in the river Odet, it's not like going for a walk so much as setting out on a voyage of discovery. The estate is constantly changing. Each year it becomes even brighter with the addition of a thousand more plants, hybrid species of rhododendrons and azaleas. From April to June, the grounds are ablaze with colour beneath the oaks, sequoias and Mexican pines. A beautiful display that shows nature in all its glory.
