About forty kilometres from Quimper, Trévarez has famous gardens, but also a castle to visit! A castle whose history is marked by the imprint of one man: James de Kerjégu.

Overlooking the Aulne valley for more than a century, the Château de Trévarez, recognised as a "20th Century Heritage Site", bears witness to the dream of one man, the politician James de Kerjégu. In 1893, against the hectic backdrop of the Belle Epoque, he set about building a prestigious residence at the cutting edge of modernity. As the seasons go by, a stroll through the 85-hectare park, designated a "remarkable garden", is an opportunity to admire the famous collections of camellias, rhododendrons and hydrangeas in full bloom. A dazzling experience! Every year, a contemporary artist presents his or her vision of the estate.
