The pretty little station at Guiscriff, renamed ‘Marie monte dans le train’ (Marie gets on the train), has a fascinating tale to tell. Trains have had a major impact on the region’s history, especially in central Brittany. Written evidence, archive film, interactive models, maps and posters relate the epic story of Brittany’s rail network in the land of King Morvan. Its attractive Café de la Gare is a friendly place where villagers, ramblers and passing cyclists congregate. Other facilities here include a terrace with access to greenway no. 7, the library, a place for ramblers to stop off, a fully-equipped green campsite, a shop and a bookshop, plus a series of events held throughout the year to interest the general public.
