Time seems to have stood still at Manoir de Kerazan. Hidden away in the heart of Brittany, in the Bigouden region, it traces the rich history of the 16th to 19th centuries. Once inside, the house is a pleasure to visit. From Mrs Astor's sitting room, with its Louis XVI-style wood panelling, to the dining room with its carved and twisted furniture. Mr Astor's library, where the atmosphere is more hushed and studious, and the billiards room, elegant with its 18th-century panelling and mouldings, form a traditional Bigouden theme. An exceptional room houses a unique collection of Quimper earthenware. Admire the multitude of Breton-inspired paintings on the walls. On your way out, wander through the vast English-style park created in 1765, to the vegetable garden, the pond or the rockery. Exhibition from 24 May to 20 September 2015: Wedding rituals in Bigouden country (1900-1950). Room hire for receptions and seminars.
