At the heart of the "L'Étang neuf" site, the Musée de la Résistance en Argoat (Museum of the Resistance in Argoat) recounts the history of the places rallied by the maquisards during the Second World War, in an island of greenery and fresh water.

The Musée de la Résistance en Argoat (Museum of the Resistance in Argoat) is an original and pioneering museum, immersing visitors in the history of the Resistance in Argoat, the scene of clashes between German forces and the maquis in July 1944. Photos, objects, everyday clothing and eyewitness accounts bring to life the intertwined destinies of men and women of many nationalities who came to resist in the Argoat region in the early 1940s. In the regenerating setting of l'Étang neuf, the centre of the same name also includes an artists' studio and an art gallery dedicated to issues of history and remembrance. It's an attractive natural site that's ideal for a range of activities, from consulting the collections by appointment to a variety of guided tours.
