In Bothoa, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a rural school in the 1930’s. Sharpen your quill, the teacher’s coming…

The former school in Bothoa, a small town in the Côtes d’Armor, recreates the studious and nostalgic atmosphere of a rural classroom in the 1930’s - waxed wooden desks, the smell of chalk and ink. Wander down memory lane, to a time when lessons were held in dictation, morals, maths and writing in pen and ink. In a classroom there's an exhibition dedicated to the Bothoa school – class photos, a film produced in the school in 1962, certificates… In the playground is the teacher’s house, which has been fitted out to show what it was like for the first teacher, who lived there from 1931 to 1947. The objects and furniture will take you back 80 years in time.
