From XXL paintings to sardine tins, plates and ocean liner decorations, the variety of media used by Méheut is striking. Over the course of around 1 hour 30 minutes, an immersive scenography reveals his world of nature, daily life, Brittany, his travels in Japan and elsewhere... The 250 works on display are housed in a brightly-lit former stable. Equipped with their explorer's kit, children can move around freely and learn about art without even noticing. Audioguides, interactive terminals and tactile maps complete the visit for everyone. In an alcove at the end of the tour, you'll be captivated by the colours and details of the impressive tapestry "La Mer" and its life-size cardboard box. Méheut was an artist who was curious about everything, and he left a prolific body of work that allows the permanent exhibition to be renewed each year and original temporary exhibitions to be devised. A museum to see again and again!
