Parc et jardins du Domaine de l'Orangerie de Lanniron

Gardens and terraces that drop down towards the Odet river
Allée de Lanniron, 29000 Quimper
A typical French17th century garden, mixing Italian Baroque and French Classicism, the Parc de Lanniron has been restored according to documents of the period.
There are many species of remarkable trees here, including the Ginko biloba, the Japanese cedar, the monkey puzzle tree and the bald cypress. Indulge in a serene stroll in the château gardens (a château that is none other than the former residence of the Bishops of Quimper). These gardens were set out in the 17th century and feature superb terraced areas that descend down on three levels to the River Odet. There are flowers on the first and second levels, and vegetables on the third. Fruit trees have been trained on the walls. Don’t miss the canal, the Neptune and Dauphin ponds that have been recently restored. If you are really won over by the place, then stay here at the 4 star leafy l’Orangerie de Lanniron campsite that has a water park! Treasure hunts, games areas, mini-golf and rental of cycles and small cars from 15/5 to 15/9.
