In Langueux, railway enthusiasts are bringing to life the unique history of the Armorican railway network in an astonishing array of machines.
Along green lawns, in the shade of tall trees, the Boutdeville tramway zigzags between gondolas and carriages, without hurrying. The route forms a 900 m loop. A children's favourite, the little train is the star attraction of the site, where an association lovingly exhibits a dozen restored machines. You can wander around freely and discover the largest collection of historic equipment in Brittany. Exhibition panels retrace the history of the Chemins de fer des Côtes-du-Nord, which was once - with 452 km of track - one of the largest networks in France. The association's volunteers will be delighted to answer any questions you may have. Don't leave Boutdeville without a visit to the Briqueterie. The small museum exhibits scale models. You can also find out more about traditional activities in the bay, such as salt works and market gardening.
