In France, Tropicarium Bonsaï is a reference in the miniaturised cultivation of potted plants, a major decorative art in China and Japan. Masters of oriental horticulture, Joëlle, Michel and their son Medhi share their tender knowledge of these trees, as tall as three apples, which have been pampered for many years. The visit to the Tropicarium begins in the tropical greenhouse, where hundreds of bonsai trees flourish alongside thousands of plants from all over the world, watched over from the corner of the eye by tortoises. From April onwards, it continues with the exotic garden, a maze of plants planted with remarkable trees, bamboos, yuccas and tree ferns. In total, more than 2,000 species are produced on site.
