Located in the historic centre of Rennes, this adorable bunkhouse is run by a talented young chef who specialises in original wood-fired cuisine... A witty "nowhere else"!
Rue Saint-Georges, with its many cafés and restaurants, and then a long pocket table. Push open the door. In a colourful broc' décor, you'll notice this bench of sardines running along the wall and its pretty lampshades made by grandma. Welcome to Noémie Cadré, the smiling owner of these unusual premises. This young woman has worked as a sommelier in star-rated hotels and palaces, travelled around Spain and Argentina, and landed in Rennes to work in the kitchen at Le Bercail and then Origines... A curious and well-travelled chef, she invites us to sample her "wood-fired cuisine": at lunchtime, a short menu with a street food feel, including a BBQ Beef Burger or a vegetarian pita. For dinner, there's a more elaborate menu, including chicken, chestnuts, endives and juice, or octopus, sweet potato, marine juice and bergamot. What's on offer? It's fresh, clever and very good!
