Ar Milin' means 'the mill' in Breton... The paddle wheel no longer turns, but the place remains as lively as ever. On the banks of the Vilaine, in the heart of a magnificent five-hectare landscaped park, the imposing house, which is both hotel and restaurant, welcomes its guests for a moment of relaxation and indulgence. On the terrace by the water in summer, or by the fire in winter, the chef serves up an instinctive, bistronomic cuisine based on seasonal market produce, edible flowers, aromatic herbs and vegetables picked by him in the Jardin d'Albertine kitchen garden. A taste of the menu? Steak of pollack roasted in semi-salted butter, julienne of sesame-flavoured vegetables, langoustine bisque and sauce vierge, or shredded Limousin beef, mashed potatoes with old-fashioned mustard and pan-fried mushrooms.
