Summer’s “Voyage à Nantes”? Every year, from early July to early September, a brand new contemporary art trail takes visitors to the heart of the public space, where surprises are the order of the day. The city takes on a surrealist edge. Statues come to life, excitement is in the air. And if you need to take a breather and relax over a drink, off to the Lieu Unique. And there’s nothing better than grabbing a bite to eat in front of the Buren Rings, on the banks of the Loir, at the Cantine du Voyage, or on the Island of Nantes… On the programme: major exhibitions, art installations in the public space, cultural venues open 7 days a week, shows, concerts, cruises on the Erdre and the Loire, and even a jazz festival. A voyage to enjoy at your own pace, thanks to the Nantes Pass’ many possibilities (24h, 48h, 72h or 7 days).
