Description
Every year, it’s a revolution in Brest. Astropolis brings together the very best of techno music. An unmissable event for the followers of a movement known as ‘The Second Summer of Love’.
Boom! When your heart goes boom! It means you’ve been hanging out at the tip of Finistère, where the Astropolis festival takes place every year. At such a pace that the editions come and go without you even noticing. In techno parlance, you could say they’ve been flying by at 300 bpm (beats per minute). Born out of the rave parties of the late 80s, this survivor is still going strong. Astro is as vibrant as ever, shall we say, just like the music spun on its decks: Manu le Malin, Laurent Garnier, Justice, Birdy Nam Nam… Twenty thousand festival-goers spread out each year across a dozen venues in a city covered in dance floors and a very flower-power tapestry. From the commercial port to the Cabaret Vauban, from the Astroclub to the Manoir de Keroual, the thunder of Brest never ceases to rumble, though we make no attempt to avoid being struck by love at first sight. Astropolis has even thought to prepare the next generation with its Astroboum, aimed at the little ones. And what about breakfast?
