At the gateway to Brocéliande, the P'tit Fausset cider mill has been handed down from generation to generation since 1921. A local institution! Meet Coline, the cellar master, for a sensory and educational stopover in the land of pressed apples.
Every Friday morning, by prior arrangement, the traditional organic cider house opens its doors to the curious. You can follow the journey of the local apples, from their arrival at the warehouse to bottling. There's nothing folkloric about it - it's a working tool that you can visit, with its presses, the smell of ferments and its bottling machines!
Near the vat room and her lab, Coline lingers to explain her art, test tubes and densimeter in hand: blending the different categories of apples, from the most acidic to the sweetest, to make products with character. Some may try to get the recipe for Bouchinot, the local emblematic liqueur, from him, but the secret is well kept! At the end of the tour, there's a tasting session in the boutique. This is the historic heart of the cider house, as evidenced by the large fireplace carved with a bee, where chouchenn was once made. "Guer mat" (to yours in Gallo).
