Description
In Saint-Briac, on the ground floor of a village house, this bistro captivates its patrons with its spontaneity, its second-hand décor and its delicious food.
With its magnificent beaches, golf course and charming villas, Saint-Briac is one of the most upmarket destinations on the Emerald Coast… Yet that hasn’t stopped this simple little bistro from finding its place here and attracting a large number of regulars! With a mix of wooden and Formica furniture, old family portraits and traditional plates… Without going over the top, this bright little spot embraces its vintage charm. In the dining room, Quentin welcomes guests with a smile and serves up the dishes prepared by his wife, Juliette, who’s busy in the kitchen. On the blackboard, for example, you’ll find herring with potatoes in oil, a baked egg with Fourme d’Ambert, pollock with hollandaise sauce or a pork stew with vegetables, followed – why not? – by rice pudding. It’s all delicious, and washed down with natural wines from artisan winemakers such as Marc Delienne in the Beaujolais region or Eric Sage in the Vendée.
