Penmarc'h is the place to stop for a bite to eat at this restaurant, which ticks all the boxes: stunning cuisine that makes the most of local resources, smiling, efficient service and a tastefully selected wine list.
The United States, Corsica, Bordeaux... Klervi Tanniou and Corentin Igor travelled extensively before opting to return to their Bigouden roots. Since 2021, they have been based at the Eckmühl lighthouse in Penmarc'h. In their elegant setting, with wood and whitewash paint, they offer fine gourmet cuisine on a daily basis, much more iodised than 'meaty'. A fishmonger from Le Guilvinec and a market gardener from Pont-l'Abbé supply them with remarkable and inspiring raw materials. For example, Corentin has invented scampi cooked at low temperature with vegetables, homemade aioli and a reduction of scampi heads, or sea bass with morels, brown mushrooms and yellow wine sabayon. Resolutely contemporary and close to its terroir, their fine cuisine now doubles up as a bistro, Millésime, located just opposite the motherhouse. Also well worth a visit!
