Simple, ethically sourced food and a cosy atmosphere… This is a lovely spot for lunch or afternoon tea, before or after a surfing session on the Quiberon peninsula or a stroll along the beaches of Carnac.
Between Auray and Quiberon, we recommend stopping off at Plouharnel-Carnac station. In 2021, this building – which is still served in fine weather by the iconic TER Tire-Bouchon train – was converted into an eco-friendly café and canteen open all year round. Since then, this welcoming spot has become a favourite haunt for locals drawn by the colourful bowls, melt-in-the-mouth grilled cheese sandwiches and generous daily specials… all concocted by Julie. Thai chicken curry with free-range chicken and local vegetables, black pudding parmentier, vegetarian lasagne… The menu changes daily, depending on fresh deliveries, what’s available from local market gardeners and the chef’s inspiration. For dessert or a snack, try the cookies – the house specialities. Enjoy them in a super-cosy, ‘second-hand’ setting. In summer, you can also relax in the large garden and on the pétanque court.
