You can count them on the fingers of one hand: restaurants open all year round on the Emerald Coast. And even more so when it comes to beach huts. The good news is that Kalypso is an exception. Located opposite Saint-Sieu beach, this simple, relaxed beach hut was opened six years ago by Adèle Grunberger and Tanguy Thomassin, former owners of the Oyster Club in Paris and Dinard. Here, the sea sets the tone: seafood and fish arrive directly from the fish market, accompanied by carefully selected organic vegetables. On the menu, a must-try is already making a name for itself: octopus tacos, depending on what's available. As a starter, regulars are sure to spread their bread with homemade tarama or bite into the stuffed almonds, perfect for whetting the appetite. And because the place also comes alive in the afternoon (in summer), gourmets meet up at snack time for cookies or waffles or a late lunch that gets everyone in agreement. It's a simple, warm spot, where you can come as a family or just as a couple, to enjoy the sea-scented cuisine and the view over the beach.
