30km south of Rennes, this small, reasonably-priced campsite is located in a rural setting on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrims’ route.
Nestled in a bend of the Vilaine river, near the towpath, Camping de la Courbe is ideal for outdoor activities. This quiet, rural site has 56 plots demarcated by hedges of local tree species, and 4 chalets for hire overnight, for the weekend or for a week. It's a popular stopover for camper-vans and caravans en route to the south, and a favourite for hikers, cycle tourists, walkers following the Santiago de Compostela pilgrims’ route, and pleasure-boaters on the Vilaine (landing stage nearby). You can even bring your kayak (access to the river 150m away). This very reasonably priced campsite, open all year round, is a great place to stay for festival goers and people working away from home temporarily. Nearby equestrian centres offer country rides, and, if you want to explore the local area, the Vilaine valley circuit and the Gardens of Brocéliande are not far.
