Near the city centre, inside Rennes’ largest landscaped park, this leafy site is the perfect base for visiting the Breton capital without taking the car.

In a 100 hectare forested area, Camping des Gayeulles is easily accessible (a few minutes from the Rennes ring-road), and perfect for sightseeing and leisure. With 178 plots, 98 of which are 3-star, the site is surrounded by trees in a lush setting at the heart of Gayeulles Park, close to sports grounds, a lake, ice rink and swimming pool. A regular bus service takes 15 minutes to Rennes, ‘city of art and history’, a lively mix of cultural heritage and modern attractions. Stroll from Place des Lices to the modern Champs Libres cultural centre, through the medieval quarter with the cathedral and Breton Parliament building. Admire the narrow streets and timber framed houses, and bask in the sun on café terraces. The Vélo star cycle hire system is handy for getting around, and the City Pass offers reductions for the main monuments, shows and leisure activities.
