On the edge of a pond, a ten-minute walk from the medieval château of Châteaugiron, camp in a rejuvenating natural setting on the outskirts of Brittany's capital.

Marsh oaks, American copalms and field maples cut their leaves against the shimmering waters of the Châteaugiron lake... The Grands bosquets campsite offers a 100% natural setting on the edge of the Châteaugiron fortress, built in the 17th century to protect the Breton capital. Pitch your tent, park your van or camper van, or settle into one of the three "cabanes-étape" and marvel at the area, where wild plants, butterflies, dragonflies and marsh birds mingle. After a visit to the fortified castle, wander through the narrow streets of the small medieval town, discovering the timber-framed houses and returning to the peace and quiet of the campsite for a barbecue by the water. The site's added bonus: ping-pong tables, a petanque pitch and tennis courts.
