The Le Frêche à l’Âne campsite, in La Fresnaye bay, is a great place to stay deep in the maritime landscape of Pléboulle, once the stamping ground of the Knights Templar.

Just 5 km from the beaches of the Emerald Coast (côte d’Emeraude), Le Frêche à l’Âne campsite is full of flowers, trees and lush greenery. There are around 80 pitches, including some 10 furnished rentals in the form of mobile homes or tent bungalows. The campsite is peaceful and family-friendly. All the services are grouped together hospitably in a barn building that serves as kitchen area, games room and wi-fi hotspot. Le Frêche à l’Âne is on the route of the GR34 footpath and so it also attracts ramblers and touring cyclists. Situated as it is between land and sea, it's equally popular with seashore fishing enthusiasts and budding ornithologists. There are several interesting Breton historical sites to be explored nearby, including Fort la Latte, Erquy, Dinan and Saint-Malo. Closer still, will you manage to find traces of the days of the Knights Templar?
