The yurts of the Village Insolite (Extraordinary Village) are located in Mont-Saint-Michel Bay. A little bit of Mongolia, the only one of its kind in Brittany, where you can spend an unusual, peaceful holiday.
Somewhere between a campsite and an encampment, the Village Insolite in Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes is like Mongolia in miniature. Around Cancale, there are salt marshes instead of steppes, but the twenty or so yurts on the grass are undeniably from central Asia. With a living area of 27 m², the yurts are furnished in 'local style', with sleeping area, living room area and kitchenette. Exotic new surroundings are guaranteed, in shades of orange and blue. Less unusually, the wooded site also has around twenty camping pitches and a handful of mobile homes. Located in a quiet setting, the village also has a small grocery shop and fresh bread outlet. The owner, Mathieu, will serve breakfast on request. And you won't need a horse to get to the sea. You will be able to see Mont-Saint-Michel from the shore, just 500 m away. Don't miss the chance to fly your kite, hire a sand-yacht or dig for clams.
