The Hotel de France gives you a 180° view of the port of Camaret and the entrance to Brest harbour. Some of the wood-panelled rooms look out onto the water, and some can sleep 3 or 4 people. The restaurant also ahs a sea-view, and has recently been renovated as a modern bistro, where the chef, a ‘maître-cuisinier’, offers his specialities straight from the aquarium, including grilled crayfish and other seafood. Nearby, a brand new building, the Bellevue, provides studios, apartments and split-level suites with balconies and patios offering panoramic views over Brest harbour. Both are ideally placed to explore the Pointe de Pen Hir and its famous Tas de Pois (Pile of peas!) rocks, laze on one of Camaret's five beaches or take a boat to discover the beauty of Ushant (Ouessant) or the Isle of Sein (Sundays in summer).
