This character hotel, in a beautiful part of the Côtes d'Armor, offers the tranquillity of the countryside and the majestic character of historic stone.

The Manoir de Rigourdaine, perched on a beautiful green promontory, overlooks the estuary of the river Rance. Here, in a haven of peace, you can enjoy a drink at the bar, bury your nose in a book beside the fireplace, play billiards or wander the numerous paths that take you down to the estuary. "Although the manor is ideally situated for visiting Dinan, Saint-Malo or the Mont-Saint-Michel, there are other not-to-be-missed but less well-known spots, such as the little village of Saint-Suliac, listed as one of the most beautiful in France," suggests Patrick Van Valenberg. This native of Saint-Malo, of Belgian descent, knows every stone in this historic building, which he renovated with his own capable hands. The large, comfortable bedrooms reflect all the traditional Breton characteristics. The spacious split-level rooms are ideal for families.
