Nominoë was the 1st king of Brittany. Today, the hotel that bears his name at Locminé pays homage to the environment, to wellbeing and to the taste for freedom.
This hotel’s commitment to ecology is immediately visible in its wooden building materials and the two wind-turbines that make use of the Celtic breeze. Inside, geothermic heating and the use of diode lighting are further evidence of determination on the part of Nominoë’s creator to design a hotel that is welcoming and in harmony with its times. The architect displayed great originality in constructing 19 single-storey rooms, with car-parking in front of each door. Locminé is slightly reminiscent of an American-style motel... The elegant, contemporary lines in the bedrooms make this a good place to recharge your batteries. The sauna and fitness suite will help too. A little bonus on the wellbeing front: you can take your bathrobe, towel and bedroom slippers away with you –they’re all made of biodegradable materials…
