The château d’Apigné just ten kilometres from Rennes hearkens back to the majestic brilliance and romantic feel of the ‘fin de siècle’ years just before the turn of the twentieth century. Ideal for those keen on tradition and top-flight comfort.

The Château d’Apigné is surrounded by 25 hectares of landscaped gardens which haven’t aged a bit since 1883. This luxurious residence is inspired by the architecture of the Renaissance and its Italian décor, and its slender towers and great service are certainly major attractions. There are eight luxurious rooms nestling among its floors, all of which bear the hallmark of the illustrious ancestors who once stayed here, set against a backdrop of elegant, flowered décor and gorgeous carpets and pictures. Eight further bedrooms inspired by a rural look have been restored in the former outhouses of the building, with a decor of bricks and half-timbered beams. The Château’s gourmet restaurant is both classic and contemporary: a place where yesterday and today meet in its inventive and elegant cuisine.
