By France's favourite town is the Moulin Neuf holiday village, overlooking a lake and wooded grounds that are ideal for sporting activities and exploring nature.

The Moulin Neuf holiday village, sitting right at the water's edge, has some 50 comfortable, roomy cabins, tastefully decorated and able to sleep up to six people. They have the bonus of an outside terrace with garden furniture, so you can eat outdoors in the sunshine. But if you don't fancy doing any cooking, you'll find seasonal, locally-produced organic food at the nearby inn. The downstairs bar, which serves snacks, is the number one place to go for drinks on the terrace, with marvellous views over the lake. The holiday village is a paradise for families with kids, with its heated outdoor pool, private beach, a kids' club and several play areas. For sports enthusiasts there are tennis courts, a boules court, a fitness trail and a mountain-bike and BMX circuit for fun-packed days by the lake, which is the starting point for various walks. Follow the stream to get to Rochefort-en-Terre, which the French voted their favourite town in 2016.
