Take a step back in time in this former lock keeper's house. Savour the verdant view over the Blavet and let yourself be lulled by the lapping of the waters.

It's the perfect stop-off point for travellers on the towpath that runs alongside the Blavet canal in Saint-Nicolas-des-Eaux. Your hosts Camille and Olivier have fallen under the spell of this lock-up house built at the beginning of the 20th century, and will be delighted to welcome you for one or more unusual nights in the former caretaker's attic room. After a walk along the promenade des estivants or a trip on a boat without a licence, enjoy an ice cream or a savoury tart in the leafy garden before returning to your room, with a view of the Ecluserie garden and the canal. The interior is sober and zen, enhanced by travel souvenirs - colourful Peruvian embroidery and pastels. In the evening, awaken your childlike spirit and pick through the trunk of beautiful books before drifting off to sleep, carried away by the murmur of the waters.
