The five 'troglogîtes' at Braspart, in the Mont d'Arrée, with views of Mont Saint-Michel (the other), are a curiosity and a godsend for those who want to disconnect from the world... literally.

What is a "troglogîte"? It's a dwelling carved out of stone, with a green roof so as not to detract from the unspoilt, isolated landscape of the Monts d'Arrée. A sort of topographical curiosity, in the form of a trompe-l'œil, for those who want to recharge their batteries in a timeless place. To live happily, let's live hidden... and disconnected! Troglogîtes are designed to give direct access to nature and to reduce their impact on the landscape. So you'll need to be energy-efficient. Kelly, the friendly caretaker, promises that life without a microwave is possible. In fact, it's a great way to live. To see for yourself, take a stroll along the paths surrounded by moorland and peat bogs. Listen out for the ever-present birds and keep an eye out for roe deer.
