This is the only waterfront villa in Vannes:
Villa M is a 4**** listed architect-designed house with its feet in the water, overlooking the exit from the Vannes marina and the very start of the Golfe du Morbihan.
Its garden, with a large cedar jacuzzi for 6 people, is a shady and invisible green setting from which you can watch the beautiful sailing boats go by all day long.
Villa M was carefully renovated in 2022 and 2023 with the help of an architect and landscape gardener.
Its unique location means you can forget all about your car for the duration of your holiday: take the coastal path below the garden to reach the historic centre of Vannes, the medieval town and the fabulous market, just 800m away; and on the other side, also 800m away, you'll reach the pier for the islands, where boat-buses will take you to a different island in the gulf every day: Arz, Ile-aux-Moines, Ilur, Irus, Houat, Hoëdic...
The nearest beaches are: Larmor Gwened beach, 200m away, where you can swim at high tide, and Conleau beach, with its seawater pool, is 10 minutes away by bike. And if not, the national sport is to explore a different little island every day, discovering little coves. Water buses take you there, but you can also hire a boat from the house (zodiac with or without skipper) or go on an adventure in a kayak. The kayak and rowing club is 50m from the house.
The house is laid out as follows: on the ground floor, a large living room, a dining room, a separate kitchen, a library office, a bedroom with a 160cm bed, an en-suite bathroom and a separate WC.
Upstairs we have 4 bedrooms, 2 with 160cm beds and 2 with 2 90cm beds each, a bathroom and a shower room, plus a separate WC.
On the basement level (with a window), a large games room offers the possibility of 2 extra beds with 2 single beds.
Three cars can be parked in the courtyard, and free parking is also available in a nearby cul-de-sac. The house is adjacent to a yacht wintering centre, which produces no nuisance.
A well-stocked mini-market and bakery are just 200m away by footbridge, on the other side of the water.
