From Pléneuf-Val-André to Erquy

Departure : Port of Dahouët
Arrival : Erquy port

From the quays in Dahouët, where the memory of those who set off to Newfoundland to fish cod lingers, the path climbs up to Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde oratory, with a divine view over the bay and its tides. After taking a few selfies, head to the Verdelet bird reserve, a little island that you can discover on foot. And then? There’s the sky, the sea, and the wonderful beaches of Val-André. A 6-km playground for kite-surfing, sand yachting and paragliding, with Cap d’Erquy in the background. So you’ve arrived in Erquy! The local star is the scallop, so make sure you get to know it better at the fish market. Still motivated? Carry on to the headland and admire the view of Cap Fréhel.

Does the salty air inspire you?

The next part takes place in the sea! The Erquy Water Sports Centre* is the place to rent SUPs, kayaks, catamarans or dinghies. The traditional sailing boat, Sainte-Jeanne*, will take you on a trip around the bay, and you can learn to command the jib and the staysail.
