Late morning – Oyster tasting on the water’s edge
To work up an appetite, start with a little walk along Paimpol bay. From the romantic ruins of Beauport abbey, follow the “Sentier des Douaniers” to the Kerarzic peninsula, to Ferme marine bretonne Arin. Three generations of oyster farmers breed a range of three oysters here. Appreciate their different characteristics – fine and salty, special, more or less fleshy – on the terrace of the bar next to the oyster workshop. What’s not to love in this shack-style atmosphere, with your feet in the sand and gazing out to the turquoise sea?
