Are you in the area in the first fortnight of August? For 10 days and 10 nights, the Festival Interceltique de Lorient (FIL) hosts events and shows by artists from the four corners of the Celtic world. Don’t miss it.
The former Keroman submarine base in Lorient has been renovated and is now the place for walking, having a bite and visiting, among others the Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly.
In Lorient, head to Larmor-Plage, a lovely seaside resort popular among locals for its beach-facing restaurants.
