10am: Enjoy a speciality coffee at the Brûlerie in Paimpont

There’s nothing like a good coffee to get you going in the morning. At la Brûlerie de Paimpont, discover a dozen grand cru Arabica coffees, selected by Guylaine Charvet. “Speciality” coffees, harvested by hand in the heights of Costa-Rica, Guatemala, Papua New Guinea or the slopes of Kilimanjaro… and roasted in Brocéliande forest. In addition to direct sales, Guylaine offers discovery workshops “from harvest to cup”, followed by tasting. Booking required. Get ready for an aromatic journey!

03 Step 03

3pm: Awaken the senses in La Gacilly

Take time to stroll around the streets and alleys, always decorated with flowers, in La Gacilly. If you pay attention, there are some lovely surprises in store: sundials, hanging vines… And if you enter the stone houses, you’ll be able to watch jewellery designers, glass spinners, potters, sculptors, etc., at work. In the lower part of the village, don’t forget to visit Maison Yves Rocher, an immersive museum dedicated to the local entrepreneur. You can experience a visual, sound and olfactory journey into the universe of the cosmetics brand made in La Gacilly.

04 Step 04

7.30.pm: A pre-dinner drink on the edge of the Aff

Take a seat on the wooden terrace of the Végétarium and enjoy a little drink. Choose a Breton beer or a house cocktail, with or without alcohol. Drink with moderation while the Aff calmly flows by your feet. Are you hungry? Ask for a table in the Jardin d’hiver and enjoy the colourful and tasty cuisine. If you’re there on a Thursday night, the restaurant also proposes a varied musical programme and an aperitif-concert menu. Blues, jazz, rock and world music will accompany your delicious meal.

Cider

The ciders of La Ruaudaie in Saint-Martin-sur-Oust are handcrafted with apples from its own orchard or neighbouring producers. Local products that express the authenticity of Brittany.

Beer

 The Lancelot brewery based in Roc-Saint-André takes inspiration from Breton history and the legends of Brocéliande to name its craft beers: Lancelot, Duchesse Anne, Morgane, Blanche Hermine, and so on.  You can find them in grocery stores in the region.

Edible flowers 

Treat yourself to a bouquet of edible flowers from Des heures Dehors garden in Ploërmel. Cornflower, lavender, violet pennywort, etc., add a plant element to your recipes.
