It's hard for us to imagine three generations living together in one room that's just 10 metres square. And yet… That's how the peasant folk around Penthièvre used to live at the beginning of the 20th Century. At the Ferme d'Antan ecomuseum, the daily life and traditions of its previous owners have been revived. On the threshold of the one big furnished room that forms their living quarters, you'll be met by peasants in coifs and clogs. You'll visit the store-room, the stables, the cattle sheds, the pig sty... For the last 40 years, the locals at Plédéliac have actively supported and maintained the dwelling and the animals. In the farmyard, children learn traditional Breton games. Skittles, hoops and stilts are very popular. To complete the picture, there's a pedagogical garden behind the house where aromatic plants, traditional cereals and seasonal vegetables are grown. It's all very true to life.
