Zoo - Wildlife park in Carentoir

  • Since 1996, the Ferme du Monde has been home to 400 types of farm animals from around the globe, living in partial freedom in the 25 hectares of wooded parkland.

For tens of thousands of years, Man has raised animals for various purposes, often for labour (pack horses for ploughing the fields, spreading of animal manure to fertilise crops etc.) or for their products (wool, meat, milk, eggs). But here you won’t only see chickens and cows! You’ll also discover yaks, auroch cattle, curly-haired hogs and even Watusi cattle, all less than 20 metres away from you. At the children’s farm, younger visitors will even be able to pet and feed the animals. Up until recently, visitors went around the site on foot or in a mini-train, but as of 2010, guests also have the opportunity to ride around in a pedal car! As well as visiting the park you can enjoy various other activities on offer such as pony rides, the outdoor play area, mini-golf or a game of ‘boules’. It's impossible to get bored here!
