  • Based in Lescouët-Gouarec, in the heart of Brittany, Coat Fur is the only refuge of its kind in France. Silently stepping through unspoiled countryside, take part in a unique wildlife adventure: wolf spotting.

In Lescouët-Gouarec near Bon Repos Abbey and Lake Guerlédan, Coat Fur is an animal refuge which takes in old and at-risk wolves from all over France. Walking at your own pace, you follow marked paths of 1 km to 4 km which give information about the species. You can take a break on the benches along the way to watch the animals. As they peer at you from behind a tree or lying in the foliage, there's something in a wolf's expression that makes you wonder... who is watching who? As quiet as they are curious, they'll make you want to take your time and enjoy the calm atmosphere. From the wooden viewing platform that overlooks the forest, you might catch sight of a herd of deer: does, a stag and then… Momo, the Highland bull! On returning from the woods along the track named after Bleizi, a she-wolf, you'll be able to enjoy a chat with the centre's staff.
