Disappeared from the countryside at the end of the 19th century, the wild wolf made its comeback in Brittany in 2022. But in Lescouët-Gouarec, the animal has been visible since 2006, pampered by the Coat-Fur refuge. There is no breeding here, only rescue. The shelter welcomes and cares for animals given up by professionals, animal parks or by court order. About twenty residents live in semi-liberty in the pine forest, at a respectable distance from placid deer. The visit is made by following a marked out educational route (5 km). Allow one to two hours to walk around the enclosures. Keep your eyes open and take your time. Behind a tree or lying in the leaves, the wolves offer you a look, an expression, a unique encounter. But who is watching whom? A yurt allows you to spend the night in the heart of the refuge with the possibility of following the caretaker in the early morning.
