Just outside Rennes, you’ll fall in love with this old farmhouse steeped in family history, lovingly restored by Philippe and Carole. A haven of nature, clay and red schist, which exudes the spirit of the local countryside and a love of sharing.
Philippe and Carole love this little patch of land, and it really shows! Walls made of local clay and schist, panelling of local poplar, woven wicker, and second-hand finds that evoke the farm’s history… Nature has found its way into the walls, just as it is ever-present in the garden, with its tall willow tree and little berries to pick… Upstairs, the three family bedrooms each have their own unique atmosphere – all the more reason to come back and settle in! In the morning, you’ll be treated to a healthy, locally sourced breakfast that’s as beautiful as it is delicious. You can relax, linger and let time stretch out under Carole’s attentive yet discreet watchful eye. Fancy exploring? A stroll along the towpath at Pont-Réan, with its traditional bridge and artists’ studio, or a walk on to the Boël mill with its red schist cliffs and open-air café… In the evening, we read in the lounge, have a cup of tea on the terrace, and chat about this and that… and it feels so good!
