  • On leaving Dinan harbour, the motor boat Jaman IV takes its passengers upstream to discover the hidden delights of the river Rance.

The fortified city of Dinan unravels across the slopes that sweep down to the river Rance. Dinan, with Its viaduct and ramparts, its towers and steeples, is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Brittany. This has to be the most picturesque port on earth! The Jaman IV is a familiar sight here, and it has made a niche for itself in offering commentated river cruises. Passengers embark and disembark at the harbour. After passing 'le vieux pont', Dinan's old bridge, the cruise continues northwards to reveal a local heritage that is remarkable for its buildings as well as its natural landscape. The journey takes in the arch of the viaduct, the canal, the towpath, the lock at Léhon, the castle ruins and the beautiful Abbey of Saint Magloire.  The trip takes one hour and the commentary includes musical accompaniment.
